Privacy policy
We only collect what we need to get your order to you and stay in touch if you've asked us to. The person responsible for your data is Lara Josephine Mountain, trading as Glimma Vintage (details in our Legal notice), and you can reach us at glimmavintage@glimmavintage.com.
What we collect and why
Name, address, email, phone and order history: to process and deliver your order. We keep these for 10 years, as Portuguese tax and accounting law requires.
Email address for our newsletter: to send you new drops and your welcome discount, because you signed up. We keep it until you unsubscribe.
Wishlist: to save the pieces you love. We keep it while your account is open.
Reviews: to show other shoppers what you thought. We keep them while the review is published.
Messages via our contact form or email: to reply to you. We keep them for up to 2 years after our last contact.
Basic browsing data (cookies): to keep the site and your bag working. See Cookies below.
We never see or store your full card details. Payments are handled directly by the payment providers.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the shop:
Shopify, which hosts our store and your order details in the EU. Shopify may also use store data, combined with its own, to improve its services and personalise features, as set out in its own terms.
Payment providers: Shopify Payments, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
La Poste (Colissimo), to deliver your parcel.
Judge.me, for product reviews; Wishlist Plus, for saved wishlists; Shopify Forms and Shopify Messaging, for newsletter signups and emails; Instafeed, which shows our Instagram posts on the site (Instagram may see your visit when it loads).
Google Workspace, which runs our email.
Some of these companies are based outside the EU, mainly in the US. Where that's the case, your data is protected by the safeguards EU law requires, such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.
Cookies
We only use the cookies Shopify needs to run the site, like remembering what's in your bag. We don't use advertising or tracking pixels. You can manage cookies in the banner on our site or in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it or unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of any newsletter. Just email glimmavintage@glimmavintage.com and we'll reply within one month. Some order records have to be kept for tax reasons, even if you ask us to delete them.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your own country.
